How To Launch Your Company
Before You Quit Your Day Job,
And Get Your Clients To Finance It
I've been launching companies for 30 years, including a residential remodeling company, two information technology firms, a professional copyediting firm, a trade association management firm and Honest Selling. Right now I'm working on launching a non-profit trade association (which has similar problems as for-profit companies) and a two new divisions within the Honest Selling family.
In all but one unique case, I have yet to borrow a dime to launch a company, because it's both safer and more effective to sell the idea, collect the money and then hit the ground running on your clients' dimes.
How To Launch A Company Before You Quit Your Day Job, And Finance It With Your Clients' Money will be a complete, real-world guide to launching a company while minimizing the risks that business owners usually face. (This is slated for release in 2008.)
